Seyed Mohammad Mousavi, the Iranian superior entrepreneur in terms of creating job opportunities for physically disabled people, said in a massive gathering of physically disabled individuals in Tonekabon, Mazandaran Province, in July 17th, 2017, that the very concept of Social Welfare Organization is tantamount to creating better living conditions for disabled people, Peyk-e Tavana reported. In this gathering organized on the occasion of Social Welfare Week and attended by a large number of disabled individuals of the city of Tonekabon, Seyed Mohammad Mousavi, head of the Disability Association of Tavana and Iranian superior entrepreneur in terms of creating job opportunities for physically disabled people, said: “The very concept of Social Welfare is associated with enhancement of living conditions. However, there is a question: Has the State Social Welfare Organization of Iran so far been able to create a favorable living condition for its target population through mere payment of tiny pensions to them?” “Dignity and respect of physically disabled people should be maintained, because they also, like other groups of people in a community, enjoy their own rights of citizenship,” he added. Mousavi who is simultaneously holding the rank of United Nations Department of Public Information (DPI) associate for Iranian disabled persons pointed out: “Physical disability does not mean inability. Rather, it is a kind of limitation and, from this point of view, all human beings suffer from limitations.” Elsewhere in his remarks, the DAT head reiterated: “The Disability Association of Tavana is a forum for the enhancement of human dignity and respect for disabled people. In such an environment, physically disabled people are being enabled through entrepreneurship rather than through mere reception of pensions.” This gathering was organized in Imam Khomeini (RA) Culture and Art Compound of Madar Park in Tonekabon. Friday Prayer leader, governor, and a group of officials of Tonekabon were also present in this event.
